Wherever a gas-supply unit has to deliver a measured flow, someone has to measure it. The Neometrix Greenfuel-CNG Gas Flow Meter does it with one of the most established methods there is: an orifice plate in the line and a differential-pressure reading. It is an N2\/CNG flow measurement system for test-bench and industrial gas-supply installations at 1 to 3 bar.<\/p>\n
Gas flowing through the bore of an orifice plate accelerates and creates a pressure drop across it that is related to the flow rate. The method follows the general principle set out in ISO 5167 for pressure differential devices. In the Greenfuel meter:<\/p>\n
1. The orifice plate for the gas being measured, N2 or CNG, is clamped between the flanges in the line.
\n2. Gas flow through the restriction creates the pressure drop.
\n3. Pressure tappings upstream and downstream feed a Siemens differential-pressure transmitter mounted on the manifold directly below the plate.
\n4. The signal is wired through an instrumentation enclosure, protected by a 10 Amp MCB on a 230 VAC single-phase supply.
\n5. A panel-mounted Universal DRO indicator converts the signal into a live flow reading.
\n6. To change service from N2 to CNG or back, the plate is unbolted and replaced with the one sized for the other gas.<\/p>\n

There are no moving parts in the orifice plate itself, which limits wear and helps keep calibration stable over time. SS 316 wetted parts give corrosion resistance across both gas services.<\/p>\n
