Its 6 L, 300 bar stainless-steel reservoir and Haskel AG-15/75 gas booster cycle regulators through 10–260 bar automatically — expandable to 310 bar in manual mode — for up to 50,000 full pressurization/depressurization loops per ISO 15500-9:2001(E), while monitoring leaks down to 15 cm³/hr. An intuitive HMI and scheduling software enable repeatable, data-rich testing with real-time pressure curves, CSV/PDF exports and LIMS integration.

A ±0.25% FS digital pressure indicator with tare, peak-hold and multi-unit support gives immediate quality assessment on every cycle via bi-colour LED pass/fail feedback. Dual-channel interlocks, emergency-stop buttons and relief valves protect operators and equipment at pressures up to the 330 bar maximum rating.

Fifty thousand cycles. Fifteen cubic centimetres an hour.

Quick-release fixturing and a lockable-wheel chassis allow rapid changeover between regulator types and repositioning across OEM production lines, MRO bays and certification labs, while an optional heat-exchanger module conditions gas via engine coolant to minimize thermal shock during seasonal testing.

How It Works

Four stages, one test cycle.

Every test cycle on the CHPRTB moves through gas conditioning, leak-decay analysis, controlled depressurization and automated cycling logic — each stage logged for full traceability.

Conditiondrive air dehumidified to −40°C dew point, 5 µm filtered, boosted to test pressure
Decay TestUUT isolated, pressure decay sampled at 100 Hz; >15 cm³/hr aborts the cycle
DepressurizePLC modulates exhaust valves to vent the UUT on a user-defined profile
Cycle & Logdwell times and pressure ramps replicate service duty; results exported to CSV/PDF/LIMS

Reservoir & Booster

6 L, 300 bar SS reservoir feeds a Haskel AG-15/75 booster (inlet ≥100 psi, outlet to 15,000 psi) for stable high-pressure supply.

Sub · 02

Drive Air Supply

≥5 bar, 50 CFM drive air, 5 µm filtered, −40°C dew point, ensures consistent booster actuation without moisture ingress.

Sub · 03

PLC & Safety Interlocks

Dual-channel interlocks, e-stops on all sides and relief valves halt cycling if pressure, leak rate or temperature exceed set thresholds.

Sub · 04

Data Acquisition

16-bit ADC at 100 Hz sampling drives the ±0.25% FS indicator, LED pass/fail readout, and networked CSV/PDF/LIMS/OPC UA export.

In Depth

The complete technical read.

Engineering narrative for CNG OEM, certification-lab and field-service teams evaluating regulator test infrastructure.

Introduction & Industry Context

Modern CNG regulators must endure thousands of actuation cycles while guaranteeing zero unacceptable leakage. The CNG High-Pressure Regulator Test Bench meets this challenge by combining a 6 L, 300 bar stainless-steel reservoir, a high-precision gas booster, and PLC-driven cycling to execute up to 50,000 full-pressure cycles per ISO 15500-9:2001(E) (≤15 cm³/hr leak threshold). Its ±0.25% FS digital pressure indicator with bi-colour LED pass/fail feedback ensures immediate quality assessment on every cycle.

Key Benefits & Advanced Features

  • Superior accuracy & traceability: ±0.25% FS digital pressure indicator with tare, peak-hold, and multi-unit support.
  • Robust endurance testing: up to 60 cycles/minute under automated PLC control simulates real-world regulator fatigue.
  • Integrated safety mechanisms: dual-channel interlocks, emergency-stop buttons, and relief valves protect at pressures up to 330 bar.
  • Environmental conditioning: optional heat-exchanger module conditions gas via engine coolant, minimizing thermal shock.
  • Data-rich reporting: network-ready CSV/PDF exports, LIMS integration, and on-demand printed reports for full traceability.
