The Test Rig for 130 LPM Pump of LCA is a self-contained Electro-Hydraulic Test Rig engineered to address all requirements for testing the hydraulic pump used in the Light Combat Aircraft. Safety and user-friendliness are the defining design principles.

The pump under test (UUT) has a rated pressure of 270 bar, rated flow of 130 LPM at 270 bar, and rated speed of 6000 RPM. An LVDT with magnetic contact is provided for displacement measurement. The rig covers high-pressure proof testing, functional testing at rated conditions, and cyclic testing using Moog servo valves.

A 160 kW squirrel-cage induction motor driven by an ABB ACS800 AC drive delivers power through a gearbox capable of 10,000 RPM output. Three SS304 reservoirs (90L, 225L, 50L) and three heat exchangers using water cooling maintain MIL-H-5606E oil within the operating temperature envelope up to 120°C.
