Deployed hardened field shelter on an ISO frame with HVAC, cable entries and levelling jacks

Field Technical Shelter: The Field Stops Equipment. A Shelter Doesn’t.

Field Technical Shelter: The Field Stops Equipment. A Shelter Doesn’t.

Electronics, communications, a command team, a workshop — none of them work for long in the open at 50 C, in dust, at altitude, under electromagnetic interference or under a CBRN threat. A field technical shelter is the hardened box that carries a controlled, protected environment to wherever the task is, and holds it there. Neometrix engineers it as a transportable, environmentally hardened enclosure, fitted out turnkey.

Build It, Deploy It, Operate It

The shell. A welded steel or aluminium frame clad in insulated sandwich panels, with ISO corner castings, full sealing and weatherproofing, and a blast or ballistic option.

Environmental systems. HVAC held to +/-50 C ambient with humidity control, power distribution and conditioning, lighting and blackout.

Hardening. EMI/RFI shielding for signal integrity and emission control, NBC over-pressure and filtration, a ballistic protection option, and shock- and vibration-isolated racks, each added only where the task needs it.

Fit-out and integration. Workstations, racks and consoles, cabling and trunking, and mast, antenna and cable-entry provisions, installed turnkey around the payload.

Transportable by Road, Rail or Air

On an ISO frame (ISO 1C class, 8-20 ft footprint) with corner castings and levelling jacks, the shelter is transported, set down, levelled, powered and operating on any ground, so capability arrives where it is needed and ready to work.

One Shell, Many Roles

The same shell becomes a command post, a technical or comms shelter, a medical module, a workshop or a store.

Honest About Sourcing

The shell, environmental systems, hardening and fit-out and integration are in-house fabrication and integration work. Mission electronics, radios and computing are bought in or government-furnished. The class is engineered to order, and no specific delivered shelter is claimed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why harden a shelter beyond just air conditioning?
Because weather is only one of the field’s threats. Electronics can be disrupted by electromagnetic interference or leak emissions, crews can face CBRN risk, and shelters may need ballistic or blast protection. Hardening options such as EMI/RFI shielding, NBC over-pressure and filtration, and ballistic layers are added to the threat the payload and crew actually face, rather than as a blanket specification.

Can one shelter design serve different roles?
Yes. Because the structural shell, environmental systems and hardening are separate from the fit-out, the same basic enclosure can be integrated as a command post, comms shelter, medical module, workshop or store, with racks, consoles, cabling and antenna provisions tailored to the payload.
