Overview

A Pressure PAC for circuit leak testing.

The Nitrogen Purging System is a Pressure PAC built specifically for high-pressure Nitrogen / Helium circuit leak testing. It takes an industrial Nitrogen or Helium supply and, via a Haskel Gas Booster, delivers a controlled, repeatable high-pressure output for leak validation on gas-handling components.

The system is organized into four functional sections. Dry, filtered drive air at a minimum of 4 Kg/cm² powers the Pressure PAC. The Nitrogen / Helium inlet section filters the incoming gas to 5 micron purity and reads supply pressure before it reaches the Haskel Gas Booster (3.0), which lifts the available 17–150 bar industrial supply up to 750 Kg/cm² of boost capacity, against a rated system working pressure of 200 Kg/cm² (maximum).

The nitrogen outlet section houses all safety and controlling components along with the measuring devices used to read out performance parameters — giving test engineers precision step pressurization from 0.5 Kg/cm² up to 7 Kg/cm² for controlled, incremental leak testing.

One Pressure PAC, four sections — drive air, gas inlet, boosting, and controlled outlet delivery.

Working media is Nitrogen (or Helium where specified), and the system is used across the CNG equipment manufacturing industry, the automobile industry, and the regulator manufacturing industry for high-pressure circuit leak testing.

Engineering narrative for procurement teams and test engineers evaluating high-pressure Nitrogen / Helium circuit leak testing equipment.

Why a dedicated Pressure PAC for circuit leak testing

The Neometrix Nitrogen Purging System is a Pressure PAC engineered for high-pressure Nitrogen / Helium circuit leak testing. Instead of relying on ad-hoc cylinder connections and manual regulation, the Pressure PAC integrates drive-air control, gas filtration, Haskel-boosted pressurization, and outlet safety instrumentation into a single mobile enclosure, mounted on castors for easy movement around the shop floor.

Manufactured by Neometrix Engineering Pvt Ltd, India, the system is designed to give test engineers precise, repeatable control over the pressure applied to a gas circuit under test — from a gentle initial charge up through the full 200 Kg/cm² rated working pressure — so that leak sensitivity, graduated application, and overcharge behaviour can all be verified under controlled conditions.

The four functional sections

The whole system is divided into four parts, each responsible for one stage of the drive-air-to-outlet pressure chain:

  • Air Drive Section: Dry and filtered air at a minimum of 4 Kg/cm² is required to drive the Pressure PAC, filtered to 40 micron and then 5 micron, with a customer-scope dew point of -40°C and a drive flow requirement of up to 60 SCFM as per the application.
  • Nitrogen / Helium Inlet Section: Comprises a 5 micron high-pressure filter (component 12.0) to ensure inlet gas purity, a pressure gauge (component 17.0) to read the N₂ cylinder supply pressure, and a ball valve (component 11.1) to open and close N₂ supply to the gas booster inlet.
  • Nitrogen / Helium Boosting Section: A Haskel Gas Booster (component 3.0) boosts the available industrial Nitrogen or Helium gas (17–150 bar) up to 750 Kg/cm², with a high-pressure gauge (component 10.2) monitoring outlet pressure. Working pressure of the system is 200 Kg/cm² (maximum).
  • Nitrogen Outlet Section: Comprises all the safety and controlling components of the Pressure PAC along with measuring devices to read out the performance parameters of the Pressure PAC during a test.

Key features, in detail

1. Air Drive Section

A dedicated drive-air circuit, independently filtered and regulated, powers the Pressure PAC without contaminating the process gas path.

2. Nitrogen / Helium inlet Section

5 micron filtration at inlet protects the Haskel Gas Booster from particulate contamination, with a pressure gauge and ball valve giving the operator direct control over supply admission.

3. Nitrogen outlet Section

All safety and controlling components, together with the measuring devices used to read performance parameters, are grouped in the outlet section for straightforward operation and monitoring during a test.

4. Pressure gauges

Dedicated gauges across the drive, inlet, boosting, and outlet stages give the operator full visibility of the circuit at every point in the pressure chain.

5. Air pilot switch & pressure relief valve

A pilot-actuated air switch gives reliable manual control over the drive circuit, backed by a pressure relief valve for overpressure protection during high-pressure testing.

6. Storage cylinder & vent valve

A buffered storage cylinder supports stable pressure delivery through a test sequence, while the vent valve allows safe, controlled depressurization of the circuit between cycles.

Applications across industries

The Nitrogen Purging System is used across multiple industries that depend on validated high-pressure Nitrogen or Helium circuits. Key applications include:

  • CNG equipment manufacturing industry: Leak testing of CNG cylinders, valves, and regulators under high-pressure Nitrogen or Helium.
  • Automobile industry: Circuit and component leak validation as part of production quality assurance.
  • Regulator manufacturing industry: Pressure and leak-tightness testing of gas pressure regulators before dispatch.

Conclusion

The Neometrix Nitrogen Purging System delivers a compact, mobile Pressure PAC solution for high-pressure Nitrogen / Helium circuit leak testing, combining a Haskel Gas Booster, precision step pressurization, and integrated safety instrumentation in a single unit — designed and manufactured in India to MIL-STD, ISO, and IS-aligned standards on request.
