Overview

The link between supply and actuator.

A hydraulic manifold is the compact interface that sits between a hydraulic power supply and the actuators it drives — and getting that interface right determines how cleanly the whole system controls, loads, and holds.

The Neometrix Hydraulic Manifold is designed to be inserted in the hydraulic lines between a hydraulic power supply and a hydraulic linear actuator. One manifold caters to the needs of one horizontal and one vertical actuator, so an installation with eight hydraulic linear actuators requires four such manifolds working in parallel.

Each manifold is fabricated from a single block, kept as compact as possible, machined to the application's flow sheet and control requirements. This single-block approach removes the external pipe runs and fittings that would otherwise be needed to connect discrete valves, cutting down leak paths and keeping the unit rigid enough for direct panel or skid mounting.

One block, one flow sheet, one actuator pair — less piping, fewer leak paths, tighter control.

Standard units are rated to 400 Bar and 400 Lpm, with 3 micron filtration on the supply line and accumulators fitted in both the pressure (P) and tank (T) lines to damp out pressure fluctuation before it reaches the servo valves.

Key Features

Built to hold a clean signal.

Every feature exists to keep pressure steady at the servo valve, not just at the pump outlet.

  • Single-block fabrication: machined from one compact billet per the application flow sheet, minimizing joints and leak paths.
  • Dual accumulators: fitted in both the P and T lines to absorb pressure spikes and prevent fluctuation reaching the actuator.
  • 3 micron filtration: supply-line filtration protects servo valves and precision actuator control from particulate contamination.
  • Dual-axis service: one manifold drives one horizontal and one vertical hydraulic linear actuator simultaneously.
  • 400 Bar / 400 Lpm rating: sized for high-pressure, high-flow actuator and servo-valve control duty.
  • Mode-selectable operation: off, low-pressure, and high-pressure (up to 300 Bar) modes from a single unit.
  • Panel-gauge monitoring: local pressure gauges on each line give at-a-glance status without external instrumentation.
  • Servo valve integration: ported and plumbed to directly supply and control servo valves in actuator test and drive circuits.

In Depth

The complete technical read.

Engineering narrative for design engineers and procurement teams evaluating the Hydraulic Manifold for actuator and servo-valve control duty.

1. Introduction

Hydraulic Manifolds are units designed to be inserted in the hydraulic lines between a hydraulic power supply and a hydraulic linear actuator. One hydraulic manifold caters to the needs of one horizontal and one vertical actuator. Where an installation requires eight hydraulic linear actuators, four such hydraulic manifolds are needed to serve them. Each hydraulic manifold is fabricated from a single block — kept as compact as possible — based on the application's flow sheet and meeting its technical and control requirements.

2. Operating modes

  • Hydraulic off mode: isolates the actuator circuit from the power supply for a safe standby state.
  • Low pressure mode: supplies reduced pressure for slow, fine-positioning actuator moves.
  • High pressure mode: supplies full-rate flow for fast loading/unloading of the actuator, up to 300 Bar.

3. Key features

  • Single-block fabrication: reduces piping joints and leak paths compared with a build-up of discrete valves and fittings.
  • Rated 400 Bar / 400 Lpm: sized for high-pressure, high-flow actuator and servo-valve duty.
  • 3 micron filtration: protects servo valves and actuator control elements from contamination.
  • Accumulators in P and T lines: damp pressure fluctuation so control signals to the servo valves stay clean.
  • Panel gauges: local pressure indication on each line for quick visual status checks.

4. Applications

  • Actuator/cylinder control: direct control of hydraulic actuators and cylinders in test rigs and drive systems.
  • Fast loading/unloading: rapid-cycle applications up to 300 Bar.
  • Servo valve supply: hydraulic supply and control feed for servo valves.
  • Flow control to servo actuators: stable, damped flow for precision servo-actuator positioning.

Conclusion

By combining single-block fabrication, dual accumulator damping, and fine filtration in one compact unit, the Neometrix Hydraulic Manifold gives actuator and servo-valve circuits a clean, stable pressure source — engineered to each application's flow sheet rather than assembled from generic off-the-shelf components.

FAQ

Common questions.

Plain-language answers from the engineering team.

Q · 01 What is a Hydraulic Manifold?
A Hydraulic Manifold is a compact, single-block unit inserted in the hydraulic lines between a hydraulic power supply and a hydraulic linear actuator. It routes, controls, and filters pressurized fluid to the actuator's control valves and servo valves.
Q · 02 How many actuators does one manifold serve?
One Neometrix Hydraulic Manifold caters to the needs of one horizontal and one vertical actuator. For an application with eight hydraulic linear actuators, four such manifolds are required.
Q · 03 What is the rated pressure and flow?
The standard Neometrix Hydraulic Manifold is rated for a pressure of up to 400 Bar and a flow of up to 400 Lpm, with 3 micron filtration on the supply line.
Q · 04 Why are there accumulators in the P and T lines?
Accumulators are fitted in the pressure (P) and tank (T) lines to absorb pressure spikes and smooth out flow, avoiding pressure fluctuation that could otherwise disturb sensitive servo-valve control of the actuators.
Q · 05 Why is the manifold fabricated from a single block?
Each manifold is machined from a single, as-compact-as-possible block based on the application flow sheet. This minimizes external piping and fittings, reducing leak paths and keeping the unit rigid and compact for panel or skid mounting.
Q · 06 What operating modes does it support?
The manifold supports a hydraulic-off (isolated/safe) mode, a low-pressure mode for slow or fine positioning moves, and a high-pressure mode for fast loading and unloading of the actuator, up to 300 Bar.
Q · 07 What are typical applications?
Typical applications include controlling hydraulic actuators/cylinders, fast loading and unloading cycles up to 300 Bar, supplying hydraulic power to control servo valves, and flow control to servo actuators — commonly within defence, aerospace, and industrial test rigs.
Q · 08 Who manufactures the Hydraulic Manifold?
The Hydraulic Manifold is designed and manufactured by Neometrix Engineering Pvt Ltd, a leading test equipment and precision hydraulics manufacturer based in India.
Q · 09 Is the Hydraulic Manifold customizable?
Yes. Every manifold is designed to the specific flow sheet and control requirements of the client's actuator or servo-valve system, including port count, pressure rating, flow rating, and mounting configuration.
Q · 10 How can I get a quotation, and does Neometrix export internationally?
