Yes. The hydrostatic test bench proof-tests cylinders at 1.5 times working pressure to IS 5844, and the automatic volumetric expansion test system measures elastic and permanent expansion to ISO 6406 and IS 8451.

Q · 04 Do you make CNG storage cascades?

Yes. The cascades are engineered to order at 250 bar(g) and 3,000 to 9,360 water litres, in Type I steel or Type IV composite, stationary three-bank or mobile.

Q · 05 Can the leak tester run without electricity?

The Volvo bus leak testing machine uses an air-driven Haskel booster to 345 bar and needs no electricity. It is compatible with nitrogen, oxygen, helium and hydrogen.

Q · 07 How do I leak test a CNG car, and what is a CNG leak detector for a car?

A vehicle CNG circuit is pressurised and watched for pressure decay. The CNG circuit leak tester does this with nitrogen in three pressurisation stages to 200 bar, and the CNG Vigilant is an automated vehicle circuit leak tester up to 350 bar.

Q · 08 What does permanent expansion mean in ISO 6406 cylinder testing?

In ISO 6406 hydrostatic testing a cylinder is pressurised to 1.5 times working pressure and its expansion is measured. A cylinder whose permanent expansion is 10% or less of total expansion passes; above that it is scrapped. The automatic volumetric expansion test system measures this automatically, and the hydrostatic test bench serves as a hydrostatic test rig for a single cylinder.

Q · 09 How is CNG gas flow measured?

The Greenfuel-CNG gas flow meter is a CNG measurement unit that uses orifice-plate differential-pressure flow measurement for nitrogen and CNG gas service at 1 to 3 bar, with SS 316 wetted parts.
