    What is tested

What each EV test bench proves.

An electric drivetrain has several parts, and each fails in its own way.

Battery cells, modules and packsCells and packs are cycled under charge and discharge profiles, with impedance measured and the battery management system validated. See the EV battery test system.
Battery abuseCells are deliberately pushed to failure inside a chamber that handles the gas. See the battery abuse chamber.
ChargersChargers are tested for conformance, safety and grid behaviour. See the EV charger test system.
Motors and invertersMotors are loaded on a dyno for efficiency maps, and inverters are tested on a parameter rig. See the e-motor test bench and the inverter test rig.
Vehicles and drivelinesWhole vehicles run on rolls, and axles and transmissions run on endurance rigs. See the chassis dynamometer, the axle test rig and the driveline test rigs.
Power and coolingHybrid power, chargers and cooling skids support the test cell and remote sites. See the liquid cooling system and the fuel-cell hybrid power system.

    Choosing

Choosing EV and battery test equipment.

    Five questions settle most selections.

Start with the part you test and its voltage and power — the bench follows.
    • What are you testing? A cell, pack, charger, motor, inverter or whole vehicle decides the bench.
    • What voltage and power? Battery and charger systems work to 1,000 V, and e-motor dynos to the 350 kW class.
    • R&D or end of line? A development bench needs range and data; an end-of-line tester needs speed.
    • Which standard? Tell us whether you work to IEC 61851, ISO 15118 or another specification.
    • Where does the heat go? High-power cells need cooling and gas handling designed into the cell.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions.

Plain-language answers, drawn from the individual product pages.

Q · 01 What EV battery test equipment does Neometrix make?
Neometrix engineers regenerative cell cyclers with built-in EIS, module and pack cycling to 1,000 V, drive-cycle replay and BMS validation, plus battery abuse chambers with a gas scrubber.
Q · 02 Can you test EV chargers?
Yes. The EV charger test system provides grid simulation and bidirectional battery emulation to 1,000 V, with IEC 61851 and ISO 15118 conformance and safety tests.
Q · 03 What power can the e-motor test bench handle?
The e-motor test benches use four-quadrant back-to-back dynos up to the 350 kW class, with torque-flange metrology, efficiency mapping, inverter testing and end-of-line motor testers.
Q · 04 Do you make chassis dynamometers?
Yes. The chassis dynamometer has 4×4 independent wheel drive, 48 inch rolls, a 250 km/h top speed, and electric inertia simulation from 150 to 5,500 kg. It is EV-ready.
Q · 05 What does the inverter test rig measure?
The automated inverter test rig runs on LabVIEW and automates 146 parameters, including DC and AC performance, efficiency, THD, protection thresholds and transfer time.
Q · 06 Can the equipment be built to order?
Yes. Most of this equipment is engineered to order. Send the part you test, the voltage and power, and the standard you work to, and we will propose a configuration.
Q · 07 What is a liquid cooling unit or coolant distribution unit?
A liquid cooling unit (CDU) is a closed-loop system that takes heat out of high-power electronics and rejects it. The liquid cooling system and coolant distribution unit is engineered to order, as a stand-alone liquid cooled supply unit for test cells and power electronics.
